Fingerprint Neckpeice

These are waxes generated using a mold of my fingers and parts of my hand. I used alginate a mold making material typically used in dentistry. I used this mold making material because of its ability to capture detail. I wanted a clear representation of my fingerprints and the creases in my skin. These waxes will eventually be cast in to silver and bronze forms, then applied to the skin with a sticky adhesive.
